Raw Denim, Yay or Nay?

I had an interesting conversation with a friend this weekend regarding raw denim (a.k.a dry denim). This friend mentioned that she's looking for a pair of jeans to invest in. Something she'll splurge on and not have to replace for a long time. She's a fan of raw denim which makes sense if you're looking for jeans that you'll break in to conform nicely to your shape and that will last the test of time. I've never worn raw denim so I'm curious if you have an if you wouldn't mind sharing your experiences with it. Do you have a brand/style that you'd recommend? Tips for breaking them in?

Gap Recycle Your Denim Program

This Sunday I'll be running lots of errands, one of which includes turning in two pairs of old jeans that unfortunately don't fit any more, to the Gap. For each item of denim you turn in for recycling, you receive 30% off any denim item in the shop. I called my local Gap to make sure they were participating, and they are, which is good news for me and my spring wardrobe.

It'll never end

So I ran across Shopcuffs.com yesterday on The Clothes Horse (one of my new favorite blogs), and true to form, I now have a list of items I want. Either this makes me a material lust whore or a good blogger? Eh, who cares...It's almost time for me to get home and grab one of B's mojitos!
