Splendid

This Macaroon 8-pack collection really has me questioning whether or not I'd spend $56 on ice cream. I mean, on the super duper tight budget I find myself on, there's NO way I could justify the cost, but then I think, if a friend really wanted this ice cream for his/her birthday, I'd probably find a way to make it happen. Then I think, what if that friend were me? Wouldn't I want to treat myself to $56 ice cream? I mean, I am worth it, right? I digress. They just looks so damn tasty, and you get 8 of these beauties so if you figure that they're each $7, that doesn't seem so bad, does it? This is what happens when B goes out of town. I find ways to splurge. Who knows what I'll be thinking about purchasing by the end of the week. $15 candy bars. That's what.

Mini Designer Chairs

What's a girl to do when she loves good design, but can't afford the designer chair of her dreams?  Well, two things: start saving AND perhaps buy some mini designer chairs from Poketo!  You could put it on your desk as constant motivation as to why you're saving for said chair, plus miniatures are just plain fun.

The Mini Designer Blind Box Chairs come in a series of 3 (each series has 9 chairs) and when you purchase one for $12, you get a surprise 4" scale chair.  When I was a little girl, I really wanted a dog but my parents wouldn't let me. Instead, my mom went out and bought me a Littlest Pet Shop featuring a puppy.  NOT the same, but I did love that little plastic pooch.  You catching my drift?

p.s. Poketo has a diffusion line coming to Target Aug 10th! Should be interesting.

Little bits of fake food fascinate me

Dear Reader,
You may be asking yourself why the heck I would post what I'm about to post, and I'd like to say, for the record, I have no clue. I'm becoming fascinated (maybe obsessed is a better word) with itty bitty food replicas. I first posted food jewelry back at the beginning of February and then yesterday I came across this Japanese brand "Re-ment" on the UO website and, oh my goodness, I don't know what's wrong w/me but I'm completely in awe of these mini, perfect, little replicas. So, if you think this is strange, you're right, so feel free to skip this post (but you have to admit, these are cool right???). These little things do not serve a purpose whatsoever. They are not erasures, they're simply things to collect. UO is selling these as "blind-boxed" items, meaning that when you order you don't know which food replica series you're going to get.

Currently, Re-Ment is only being sold as wholesale in the U.S. The Re-ment international website has tons and tons of options. Here are some of my favorites (let me reiiterate, these serve NO purpose).
This is from the "American Kitchen" series. It's entitled "Daddy's Power Lunch." Please note the "Re-Ment Times" and what appears to be a Starbucks cup.
This one is from the "Girls in the City" series.
"Hot Date after Work" Note the Tiffany's look alike bag and the uber cheezy caption.
Maybe a Mexican dinner? From the "Fun Meal" series.

I searched these on E-bay and came back with a plethora of options starting at 39 cents to $150+.

Ok, I think you get the point. I feel as though I've crossed some definitive line into geekdom. However, if by some chance, you are as fascinated by these as I am, please let me know. I need to know I'm not crazy!
