I've posted about unframed mirrors before here and here, and I have to tell you that the more I see them, the more I love them. I think these always look better in collections.  The more the better!

Interiors: Mirror Collections

I wonder if maybe I have a touch of OCD with my strong inclination towards grouping and collections?  I like wall decor that pushes an idea, much like plate walls, mirror walls are a great way to display a collection of vintage/thrifted/or found pieces.  They needn't be framed or fancy; I like mirrors best when they have some age and wear on them. What do you think about these mirrored collections?

Unframed mirrors

I ran across Dave Coote's work yesterday while visiting Glass of Bubbly. The site describes him as having a "quirky retro style with an emphasis on reclaimed materials." It's not hard to see why I like this his work. Anway, I noticed a motif of unframed mirrors in many of his spaces and I really adore the look.

The interesting shapes work well unframed and clusters of mirrors are one of my favorite ways to add interest to a room.

This set up is unexpected but really works.
So simple and so pretty.
If it were up to me, every hallway would have mirrors. It makes tight spaces seem a lot less claustrophobic.
These mirrors instantly add shabby chic charm to an all white room.

The simplicity of the unframed mirror makes it a great piece for groupings. I love a good frame, but there's something about this almost unfinished look that is romantic and charming.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? I suppose our mirrors might have different answers to that question, depending upon their loyalties. I have yet to come across an individual that doesn't have a mirror in their home, of some sort. I happen to like mirrors, a lot, but before you think start thinking "gawd, is she kidding me?" let me explain. Mirrors, especially large ones, help to expand a space and because they are so popular, you can find a mirror in pretty much any size, shape, or color you'd ever want, and if you can't find one that's perfect, you could always have one custom made. Mirrors are one of my favorite things, because whether you like it or not, they rarely lie, and how many things in life can you really depend on for that?

I enjoy collections of things on walls (you may have already picked up on that). I especially love the look of a "wall of mirrors" and what better place than over your living area?

I'd love to have a collection of mirrors one day...then I could constantly rearrange whenever the mood struck.

I have a smaller version of this mirror on my dressing table. It adds a touch of vintage glamour to the space.

A cluster of mirrors over a bed (not on the ceiling!) would look quirky and stylish.

A mantle is the perfect place to display a large, heavy mirror (we have this combo in our kitchen). See this post for another mantle, mirror, combo.
