Plate Wall #108

I ran across this PAPER plate wall on Poppytalk recently and knew it instantly had to be added to the collection. I've seen a lot of plate walls but this is the first paper plate collection and I love it!

Plate Walls 106 & 107

Plate walls #106 and #107 are obviously very different but they have something special in common. Both images were sent to me by the lovely and ever charming Lenore. Lenore took the second photo in a restaurant bar in Jakarta, Indonesia! How cool is that? She actually said she thought of me when she took the photo (eep!). I love plate walls of all shapes and sizes. If you're new here, check out the plate wall archives. Thanks Lenore!

Plate Wall #105 + Happy Weekend

Say hello to plate wall #105 (you can see the previous 104 plate walls here). This is the same room, styled two different ways. I like them both although I think the first is my favorite. Something about those purple pillows against the blue wall. Love it.
Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend friends. I'll be updating my Tumblr page throughout the weekend (it's almost up to 1,000 posts!) and if you'll notice, it's also gotten a bit of a makeover. Other than that, it looks like it's going to be a rainy weekend for us so I plan on being as lazy as possible. Have a good one. xo

Thanks to the Chilean digital newspaper Guioteca for mentioning D&OC this past week!

Plate Wall #104

I bet you think I forgot all about plate walls after so fervently gathering as many as I could last year.  Well, I haven't forgotten about my favorite wall accessory, but I have decided to only post my very favorites and since these elite plate walls only come around every now and again, they won't be appearing quite so often.  What do you think about plate wall #104? Isn't it pretty?  Gotta love that lamp too.

p.s. for those of you who haven't seen the plate wall archives in it's full glory, check it out here.

Southern Flourish + Plate Walls

I'm excited to announce that I am a contributor for the fall issue of Southern Flourish.  I was asked to write an article about a topic I've been blogging about for some time - plate walls!

I'm really pleased with how the article turned out and I appreciate this lovely lady for asking me to participate.  Check out the full issue here.  I'd love to know what you think!

These plate wall hooks are from post road vintage and come in a variety of colors and range in price from $14.99-$19.99 a piece. Such a smart idea! I need them.

Plate Wall #98

I ran across this plate wall on one of my very favorite blogs, Delight by Design.  The touch of turquoise and white in the seating is fresh while the rest of space maintains a sort of traditionalism.  I like...a lot.

As always, plate wall archives can be found *here*.  Cheers to Friday!

Plate Walls #94-#97

Whoa, we're almost at 100 plate walls!  I'm delaying the inevitable because I don't know if I should stop posting them or keep going.  Help. Are you tired of them?  Should I stop?  I need your opinion.

Huge thank you to Susan for sending me some awesome plate walls this week! Feel free to visit the plate wall archives if you'd like to see how just how deep my odd obsession runs.

Plate Walls #88-93

via decor8 via Ikea

Yup, you read the title correctly, that's 93 plate walls friends.  We'll be at 100 soon and then I'll need a new obsession.  It's a little sad actually.  In case you're wondering what the previous 87 plate walls look like, you can find them in the plate wall archives. If you have a particular design obsession, please leave me the link.  I'd love to check it out (and maybe I'll feel a little less crazy knowing there are others out there).

Plate Walls (yet again)

I have actively tried to stop spotting plate walls for fear of boring and/or scaring you, but I'm telling you, they find me.  If you haven't seen the collection, you must visit the plate wall archives
via here

Including these five walls, I've now posted 87 different plate walls.  87!  What's wrong with me (better question yet is why did I count?) ?  Now that I'm this close to 100, I can't stop.  Ugh, it's time for a new obsession, but not until I get to 100 friends.  If you see a plate wall that's not in the archives, please e-mail me!  Help me end this ridiculous obsession.

Plate Walls (It's not over until it's over)

It's been a minute since my last plate wall post, but I haven't forgotten about them.  It seems that the more I try to NOT find them, they just pop everywhere!  If you're new here and don't know about my little obsession, you can see the plate wall archives here
Take note of the last photo in this series, it might not be a technical plate wall but it's close enough and pretty stinking creative too.

What do you think? Tired of it yet?

Neutral plates walls + the biggest of them all

After a plate wall post, I often get comments expressing surprise that I can find this many plate walls but I'm telling you, they're EVERYWHERE! I'm not actually "finding" anything myself, I have the wonderful world of blog land for assistance. For this plate wall edition, I've gathered a few neutral, conservative walls and one BIG plate wall that's pretty stinking amazing.

Whoa. That last wall should be in a plate wall museum, kind of like this one.
If you find a plate wall that's not already in the archives and you want to share, please email it to me at downandoutchic@gmail.com. I'm on a mission to find them...ALL.

Plate Walls Continued...

I thought I'd start this new week with an oldie but a goodie. I know I mentioned previously that with a new year would come new obsessions, but I'm just not ready to let go of the plate walls yet.
Maybe I should have said, "with a new year comes new plate walls."
