Deep, sultry green is not a color I would normally use in my poorly lit home. These spaces, however, make me re-think its use. It's really a lovely color full of a romantic moodiness that's easily layered and complimented by gold and natural wood accents.
I especially like the use of it in an outdoor space as seen in the last example. Certainly a contrast to the modern whites currently favored. What do you think about these deep green spaces?

i'm a HUGE HUGE fan of this green color... emerald green to be exact! those chairs remind me of royalty, so fabulous!

ReplyDeleteI love the second image with the bottle green. Everything so rustic looking. I love dark greens; they make things so deep and earthy, with a little hint of intellectual.

ReplyDeletei have a neighbor that has a dark green house. it is spanish style. and it is LOVELY. every time i look at it i wish i lived there. and don't even get me started on how great it looks with his fabulous yard full of unusual plants. i can't really explain it, but it looks great. just great. sometimes the non-traditional colors in architecture and decor are surprisingly pleasing. :)
Those chairs are stunning! I was never a huge fan of green until I met my husband, his favorite color!

I for one am not, initially, a fan of this shade of green...but I think it is all in the design as evident in the first pic...These chairs are stylish and the use of the green is executed beautifully.

I wore a uniform to school that included that particular shade of green. As you can imagine, it was a very long time before I could stand to look at that green again. Thanks for the photos. I think I'm comin' around.
