Style Inspiration: Calico

I've always been a fan of white dresses in the summer but rarely wear them (hello pit stains and dog paws). I ran across the Calico lookbook recently posted on N.E.E.T. and had to post this pretty white dress + socks + heels look.  Of course, I'd need to add a slip under that dress because I don't look as cute as the model showing off my granny panties :)







































Calico has a great selection of vintage and new items. I have my eye on this sweet pink vintage dress in case I can't find the perfect white one...

    Your right about the dogs and pit stains! I opt for white pants instead only to end up scrubbing away any way.

    I'm all about the chicness of a white ...a great white trouser can dress up any t-shirt. And, a white dress, worn during the summer or anytime really, evokes simple, effortless elegance.

    I love the white for summer. The granny panties, not so much. I'd opt for a pretty vintage slip. The pink dress is really cute too.

    This white one is so pretty, but I do agree - leave the exposed undies to the models? That's the kind of thing magazines have in the editorial AND in the do-not-do section. Mixed messages. But the dress itself is ADORABLE and would look so cute on you!

    I, personally, LOVE the look of granny panties layered with a sheer vintage dress--a la Carrie in Sex and The City! And I don't think you need a perfect bod to pull it off!

    A lil' slip is cute, too, though. I guess ;)
