My sweet colleague Erika sent some pictures of a DIY project that I think turned out wonderfully. She bought a desk for cheap and while the shape was perfect, the finish was not.
Erika decided on a bold color (yay for orange!) and updated the drawer pulls for a modern look.
Notice the lime + orange combo? I love it!
How fun is that?! Thanks Erika for sharing...I think I need to buy some orange spray paint just to get it out of my system.On another note, I've found a mate for my ostrich pillow. B and I are going to the YMCA tonight to get memberships. Please cross your fingers that I don't pass out from a muscle cramp or asthma attack on the elliptical machine and break something (or pull someone down with me).

Ostriches rock! Much better ride than zebras . . . Ellipticals are safe as long as you sneak up from behind and stun them first;)

Orange really is the unsung hero of the colour spectrum I think! I particularly love it with pink! Strange but true! Ostriches are very good too! I'd completely forgotten about how noble and handsome they are!! Thank you!

Oh my goodness, for a second I was like "This girl busted out another DIY? She must be up 24/7 to get all this stuff done!" But then, as I kept reading I was relieved that it was from someone else this time. Ha! Because, seriously, you are making me feel lazy here. I need to step it up a notch. Loving your ostrich themed stuff. my feathered friend of choice has always been the peacock, but the ostrich is growing on me.
