Wish list 9.19.11

Watches have appeared on my wish list from time to time but I still haven't decided on one I really want to buy. I think I may have just found it! Isn't the floral pattern on this watch perfectly sweet? The $52 price tag is even better. I think it's about stinking time I committed, don't you?
p.s. have you seen Asos selection of watches? Holy cow.

Do more w/your money: WeWood Watches

These 100% wood watches from WeWood are hypoallergenic, "completely free of toxic chemicals", and are quite beautiful to boot.  To top it off, WeWood has partnered with American Forests to plant a tree for every watch sold.  I'd say for $119 a pop, these watches are well worth the money. I have my heart set on this one.  And each of the watches are naturally colored from different wood.  Neat-o, huh?

Wishlist 9.23.10

I haven't worn a watch in years but I certainly would mind changing my ways and perhaps working on punctuality with one of these watches from O'Clock.  Manufactured in Italy and sold in the U.S., these watches come in a huge variety of colors, are smartly priced at $36 AND they're water resistant!  The only difficulty for me is which color to choose.

Recycled Trunk Show

I know I've posted about Olio United before as I'm a huge fan of the concept behind the website (made with love, ethically responsible). Currently they're having a trunks show of recycled clothing and jewelry! It looks as though designers have taken apart used goods and rebuilt them into new, gorgeous pieces. The trunk sale is only 4 days long, ending on Thursday, and all orders ship free within the U.S. Some of these pieces are quite expensive, but I've picked the most affordable designs that I would wear in a heartbeat.
This would be a great piece for a cool spring night.
Bella Shrug $85
The detailing on this tank make it very unique and that color is so striking.
Hopeless Romantic $68
A feminine twist to a menswear piece and that color would go w/just about anything.
Two Way Top $65
This sweet little necklace is delicate but kind of tough.
Glories Strung Like Beads $47.50
This industrial looking piece is actually a watch (look hard and you can see the seahorse!). I have no clue how it works but it's pretty stinking cool.
Modern Seahorse Watch $59
Alright, so this trunk sale ends Thursday and I have to say I'm kind of smitten with that watch. What do you think about it (the watch, that is)? Have you ever seen anything like it?

Watching watches

You know what I want to get this year that I haven't owned in quite some time? A watch. A good, solid, fun watch. There's no need for me to spend a ton of money, or to even buy a classic style b/c chances are, I'm not going to wear it all the time. Ideally, I'd like to own a watch with character, one that would serve as a fun accessory. This is why I love these new styles from Fossil. Here are my choices:
Multifunction Silver Dial $95
I'm not sure if this one is too girly for me, but there's something about it that I like.
Analog Floral Dial $115
Clean white certainly makes a statement.
Analog Blue Dial $65

It seems like there are two types of watch wearers in this world: the type that doesn't wear them at all and the type that wears them everyday. Do you wear a watch and if so, why? Is it simply about always having to know the time?
