Neutral plates walls + the biggest of them all

After a plate wall post, I often get comments expressing surprise that I can find this many plate walls but I'm telling you, they're EVERYWHERE! I'm not actually "finding" anything myself, I have the wonderful world of blog land for assistance. For this plate wall edition, I've gathered a few neutral, conservative walls and one BIG plate wall that's pretty stinking amazing.

Whoa. That last wall should be in a plate wall museum, kind of like this one.

Wooow, that is an epic last plate wall! Loving the first one in shades of cream and gold, too.

Is there a reliable tutorial somewhere online for the most efficient and safe way to hang wall plates? I'd like to try it in my kitchen but I keep having terrible visions of my lovely china crashing to the floor if I make a mistake!

I love the top photo the best. The white plates are subtle and add some texture to the wall. I feel a project coming up now!

That's hysterical - imagine how long it would take to assemble one that big! I love the neutral one!

How about Julian Schnabel's wall size plate art..?

I keep my dishes out on open kitchen shelves so everyone can grab what they like when they need it, and so that I can have a peek as I pass by daily.

LOL - yes, I HAVE wondered how you find all of these! That neutral wall is great. I think a good plate wall is an excuse to antiquing too - I mean, you can always squeeze in one more plate!

This is such a great design element. I like the first few images with 4 or 5 plates on the wall.

Holy cow, that last plate wall looks like wallpaper! Someone has a lot of patience to perfectly align everything. I really love that neutral plate wall, because the entire room is about texture. Lovely!
