Humpday Spotlight: House of Turquoise

Happy Hump day! My hump day is a bit abnormal this week as it's pouring outside (thank you rain gods, we needed it) and I'm at home with a swollen throat and a crusty eye (what's up with that?)
I am very happy, however, to chat about my newest blog obsession and this series new installment of Hump day Spotlight. If you're a new reader here, this series is my way of sharing with you blogs that I sincerely enjoy for any myriad of reasons. I read a variety of blogs from fashion, to humor, to interior design and I try to pick blogs that reflect that variety. If you missed the previous installments, you can see them here.

Have you ever been so obsessed with an element of design so much so that you think you could start a blog all about that one thing...pattern, bathrooms, denim, etc?
This is exactly what House of Turquoise is about...a singular color in all its tints, tones, and variations. If you like blue and you like interior design and decor, this is the blog for you.
Erin has amicably agreed to answer three questions for me. Let's see what she has to say.
Describe yourself in three words.
Cheerful, patient, and level-headed

If, for some ungodly reason, you were no longer allowed to blog about turquoise or any other variation of the beloved color blue, what would be your next color of choice?
Noooo!!! One of my favorite colors is red, but since I'd be sharing rooms I love, I'd stick with white. I absolutely adore the elegance and versatility of an all-white room. I rarely run into one that I don't find attractive. (But I'd inevitably sneak in some hints of turquoise here and there...shhh!) source: The Glam Lamb via House of Turquoise
What does success in the blog world mean to you and/or how would you describe a successful blog?
To me, a successful blog is one that inspires people. In big ways or just small ones...inspiring others is a really awesome thing. It's also very obvious when the writer is passionate about their subject. You definitely need passion more than anything else to have a successful blog.

Erin's focus is definitely color and in all of it's various forms; therefore, when I visit her blog everyday, I don't know if the spaces are going to be modern, traditional, shabby chic, rustic etc. If you think you'd get bored seeing so much blue, think again. I can't get enough of this blog.
Thank you Erin for participating! Make sure to check out all that blue has to offer here.

What a coincidence! I just bookmarked her site last night! I love turquoise and all the other shades of blue. Mmmm...and this is especially inspiring because I'm furnishing our house and turquoise, aqua, etc are going to be figuring prominently. :)

I love Erin's blog and what she had to say... couldn't agree more about the color (turquoise) and also on how wonderful it is to be inspired by someone else's passion or sincere like of something.

Thank you so much for sharing! House of Turquoise is my new fave.

Hmmmm... she has some good things to say here about white rooms and blogging in general! Will go check out her blog! Good luck with throat and eye - maybe they are in delayed sympathy with foot? Anyway, tell them to get their act together and get well!

House of Turquoise rocks! I love the diversity in design. I can appreciate cozy country cottage as much as modern or mid-century. Blending styles successfully is one of the most difficult things to pull off, and House of Turquoise perfectly represents how to do it right. (My blog is about as all over the place as you can get. I've never been good at focusing...)
