The perfect package

I've been thinking about packaging a lot lately, especially with the opening of my new shop. Here's some inspiration I've found in creating the perfect little package.
Buttons are inexpensive and they add a bit of cheeky fun, especially to a white box.
Colorful yard tied in any myriad of ways brightens up the overall look.
A little wax initial is so clever, simple, and understated.
If my grandma were still around, she'd whip up some doilies quicker than I am able to type this post.

Oh, and if you have a sec, go take a gander and let me know what you think. I'll be adding many more items in the next couple of weeks including some DIY projects.
On a side note, I sincerely want to thank you all for your great feedback and encouragement. Your kind words have gotten me through many an illness, bad mood, gimp foot, discouraging event, etc. As with all things, blogging comes with the good and the bad...thank you lovely readers for being good to me and this blog.

You poor little thing...sorry to read you are ill! And in the heat of summer too...that's what happens when you combine 150% humidity and a/c!

And a new shop? My goodness, so many things happen when one is away for a few days! I must check this out instantly! Good for you! Congrats!

And you should take a peek at A Gift Wrapped Life blog - Sande is amazing! I'm a huge fan of her pretty packaged perfections.

Feel better soon!

Poor Christina. Get well soon dahling! This packaging is just beautiful. I really love the use of yarn, something I never would have thought of.

P.S. Love the shop! I'm your first customer! I told you that I wanted some of those hair pins, so I'm so glad I got to them before you sold out (which you will - quickly). And of course, I had to snag a pair of earrings too :) How on earth do you manage to find time to do everything that you do? You're like superwoman...

Your shop looks great. Good luck with it. I think I'll bec oming back soon to get one of those fab rings:-) Karen x

I'm sorry you've been under the weather, but so excited about your new Etsy shop, lady!! Good for you!!! Speaking of packaging, I just found this and thought it was a really clever idea:

That way you're getting two presents instead of one and you don't have to deal with stashing unruly opened wrapping paper to do creative things with it later (you know, when you have time - HA!)

LOVE the pinwheel style from Martha Stewart. How cute would it be if those pinwheels were actually pins you could double as a brooch?

Sometimes I enjoy the giftwrapping more than the actual present inside. I keep two bags full of giftwrapping *stuff* that I love to fiddle with. Great idea with the buttons!
