Flamenco me crazy

I first saw this video on Glass of Bubbly and I can't get it out of my head. It's by one of my very favorite artists, and the women are absolutely spell binding. They're strong, graceful, gorgeous, and I'm beginning to sound like I'm not straight. Ah, I don't care, I think you'll enjoy this as much I did. It's almost 5 minutes but it's worth the time.
Iron and Wine-"Boy with a Coin"

This makes me proud to be a Latina, but let's just be honest, I'm kind of a sorry excuse for a Puerto Rican- my spanish sucks (I was raised by native speakers), I have no ass (I mean it's there, but it's nothing special), and I can't dance very well (all of my friends agree, but this doesn't stop me). Oh well, I am going to practice my flamenco skills though. I want to BE one of these women.

{I won't have time to announce the Shabby Apple giveaway winner tonight, but I will first thing tomorrow morning! Make sure to enter if you haven't already.}

they are completely spell bounding. My favorite part is when they are all leaning on the mirror watching her and the camera shows her in the back ground reflection in the mirror. beautiful

Gorgeous video and I couldn't agree more Christina. I love love Flamenco, it's such a graceful style of dance. My cousin, Melina, was studying Flamenco for years and I was always in such awe of her.

Also, like you I feel proud of Latin cultures and always feel a bit inadequate in the Latina department. I have no hips? :) Can't hardly cook. And my dancing is so sad (especially to Salsa) I can't dance to Salsa. And I'm not at all sassy... I always think a proper Latina should be sassy. Maybe all Latina's feel this way??

Oh, I have chills. If there is ONE area in my life I am uninhibited, it's on the dance floor. If I had another life, I would come back as the flamenco dancer with birds escaping my train.

So perfect.

hahaha I am also a sorry excuse for a latina. I was born in Colombia, and I am full blooded, but I can't dance or cook. I must say though, spanish stuck with me (but I can't write it for the life of me.....)

I too am a sorry excuse for a latina.

psssst: oh, and my mom can flamenco dance (whhhaaaaaaaat?)

LOVE this! I'm proud to be a Latina too, but I'm also a pretty sorry excuse for one. I actually can speak Spanish...but I sound like a Valley Girl speaking Spanish. Not good.
