Interiors: Bold Sofa + Bold Wall

If you're anything like me, you think "bold wall = neutral sofa" or vice versa. It's all about balance right? Wrong! These examples achieve a certain kind of balance, but they aren't meek or even soft on the eyes. They're bold, fun and energizing. I'm especially smitten with the burnt orange and sea foam combination. What about you? Is there a bold color combo you'd be willing to try?

  3. I love all these, but I'm so boring! Not much bold color in my house. We have lots of neutrals with an occasional pop of color. Maybe that needs to change.

  5. I would love to live in that first room. It's so cheerful (and such a change from the plain white walls of my place!)

  10. I've been in to pink and yellow lately so the top works for me, but I really love the leather sofa with the pale green brick wall. Love it, actually!

  19. I'm not bold at all, on the sofa or on the wall. But I can admire it in others.

  22. Goodness. These living rooms remind me of the colour mastery our favourite, Matisse, had. I can't wait to own my own home and go crazy with the walls and floors.

  23. I find the art pairing on the black wall to be very interesting. I've toyed with this type of close art grouping myself- with frames touching. But it always look haphazard to me.

    I like it here, though!
