Giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you're as excited about this as I am because this is my first giveaway and it's a good one! Before I get into the details, I'd like to say there are a few things that are important to me, personally about what I put up on my site. First of all, the nature of this blog is affordability. (Not cheapness- affordability). The second thing is that any products I agree to advertise be ethically and/or environmentally conscious. With that said, I am thrilled that I was contacted by Fabricadabra about my Ikat post, because this company encompasses exactly what I'm looking for in a product. The talented owner of this small business works with artisans "all over the world" to provide stylish, colorful, pillow covers and inserts. The topping on the cake for me? The artisans are guaranteed a fair wage. Is it too good to be true? For the winner of this giveaway, perhaps it is...
So what's in it for you? Well, the winner will have his/her choice of a pillow cover from the Ikat series. Here a few of my favorites:

Ok, so for the "guidelines" on how to enter:
1) sign up to be a "follower" of Down and Out Chic and/or have Down and Out Chic linked to your blog (why? b/c it makes me feel good).
2) leave me a comment and let me know you're a follower and if you don't have a blog I can find your e-mail address on, please leave me your e-mail. (most of you I already know)
3) tell me what you'd like to see more of on this site (i.e. beauty products? eco friendly options?)

    oh, i love these and i love your blog! and i am a follower. i am new to your blog so i am not sure if anything is missing yet. i am starting to consider using more eco friendly face and hair products, but i don't want to compromise much in the looks department (i don't want to look any WORSE! :)). so if you have any tips in that department i will be all ears!
