Child's play

I'm feeling pretty good about the progress made on the new place thus far. I at least feel like it's a home and not a storage facility. We don't have any window treatments as those are going to have to wait until we have some $$$, and we are in need of art on the walls. Luckily, I happen to be friends with a fabulous painter who is going to allow us to "store" some of his art which works out for both of us. I'm looking for prints to frame and I really enjoy Shira Sela's mixed media pieces. Shira Sela is an Israeli artist with a lot of talent and her pieces featuring whimsical children who, although they play, seem to have a solemenity about them that really interests me. Her subjects are full of emotion, but in a calm, reflective sort of way. Here are my favorite pieces:
Bliss
Destiny
Girl with a BalloonIt's going to be alright
Never Alone print

I wonder if these are a type of self portrait for her? What do you think?
