Under $10: Love & Toast

Not only is the packaging for Love & Toast's line of perfume and hand creams  flat out adorable, but the products are paraben and phthalate free, never tested on animals, and the packaging comes from "100% annually renewed resources."  Oh, let me not forget to mention that many of the products are under $10!
Eco-conscious, well designed products for under $10? Someone pinch me- I'm pretty sure I'm dreaming.

Under $10 for Hump Day

I can never get enough of treating myself (if you can't tell). Whether it be alone time, a pilates class, a nice glass of wine, or a little something for under $10 I'm ready and willing to take care of me. I hope you're taking care of you too!
Here are my picks for this week's under $10...
Turquoise and red always making a stunning combination.
Turquoise Howlite Flower Brooch $4.50 (that is not a typo, $4.50!!!)
I can't get enough of small notebooks. I'm constantly jotting ideas down so I like to have a back up supply. These are created by a fellow blogger who's work I simply adore.
Pair of Peacocks $7
I love a little kitsch every now and again. This pair of salt and pepper shakers are too fun.
Classic Tin Salt & Pepper Set $5.95
I really want to learn to embroider. I'd put these vintage style lamps on tea towels.
Vintage Lamps $5
This reusable lunch sack had me at VW van.
RECYCLED Lunch Bag-VW Bus Lime $10
Have you found any recent finds for under $10?
{Hump Day Spotlight posts will be back soon. I'm taking a wee break from the series for now.}

Weekly beginnings under $10

Why not start of this week on the right foot...you know, treating ourselves for under $10.
Sometimes treating your dog to a yummy bath is like treating yourself. B and I just bought this for the pups. It smells divine and you don't have to mess with slippery bottles, which makes for a happier bathing experience.
Shampoochie Dog Soap $7
via Greenstone Soap Company
I don't know about you, but my nail beds take a beating and are often one of the most neglected parts of my beauty routine.
Boots Cuticle Oil $7.99
via Target
I'm generally not a perfume wearer, but there are probably times where some would be helpful. I like the idea of a solid perfume as it's convenient to carry and there's no fuss. Pacifica's packaging is impressive enough to make me try it.
Pacifica Solid Perfume in Thai Lemongrass $9
via Pacifica
I adore the seafoam and cream color of these vintage inspired earrings.
Fancy Nancy Earrings $9
via Bijou Bazaar
I'm always trying to figure out way to reform bad habits and create good ones in their place (and by "always" I mean the occasional whim). This set of 30 note cards is supposed to help you organize your life in 30 days. I'm willing to try just about anything.
Habit Former $6
via See Jane Work
My love of scarves knows no bounds. This one's kelly green with polka dots...tie it around your neck with a white tee and jeans and you're good to go.

Satisfy that craving for under $10

Sometimes (maybe, more often than "sometimes") I get a huge urge to treat myself to a little something. This feeling, desire, impulse, craving, whatever you want to call it, can become quite intense, especially after working way tooooo much and thinking I deserve something all my own. Well, ignoring this feeling doesn't necessarily make it go away, and if left untreated, I end up spending much more money on a "splurge" that I'll later regret. So how do you treat yourself and not spend a ton? Well, first give yourself a price limit and come hell or high water STICK TO IT! It doesn't take a lot for me to feel like I've treated myself, so I'm going to giving myself the limit of $10 (this would not include shipping if I made a purchase on the internet). Here's my list...
These pens really aren't any more expensive than your average pen, but they are certainly exceptional in their design. The color palette and obvious retro feel would certainly be a treat to have around (now if I could just learn to stop losing all my pens).
Retro Pen Set (set of 5) by Kikkerland $6

I was cruelly reminded this weekend that summers in Athens are close to unbearable and I am in need of some lighter layers. Perhaps, I could wear this under a short sleeved cardigan?
Women's shirred tank $5 (on sale from $10)

Sometimes a new belt is all your wardrobe needs for a little pick-me-up.
I'm liking the elastic band on this one (so easy with dresses).
Joselin Wast Belt $8.80

There's nothing better than knowing you've got something cute on underneath, even if people won't see it. I'm not entirely sure why you'd need a pocket on your underwear, but I love the idea.
Low-rise pocket girl short $6.95 (from 14.50)

A fun dishtowel will easily breath new life into your kitchen.
Kitchen Dish towel $10

When was the last time you thanked someone for being there for your when you needed it? I collect 'thank you' cards and I keep them in a big box in my desk at home. This way, I have no excuse not to say "Thank You" when someone goes out of their way for me.
Thank you so much notecards- Set of 3 $6.75

How do you treat yourself on a budget? What was the last thing you bought as a gift for yourself?
