Interiors: Classic Portraits

Classic portraits are no brainer when it comes to adding an eclectic, vintage touch to a space. I love this look and I'm thinking I might need to scour vintage and thrift shops in Raleigh and see if I can find my own portrait treasures for our new space. Do you use old portraits as decor in your home?

These are some of my favorite interiors that you've posted...and I love all of the interiors that you post, but these are striking. It's like the portraits lend an air of other-worldliness to the spaces...like they've always been there and we're just passing through. They're beautiful.

I don't have any portraits like these in my apartment, but you've certainly inspired me to hunt for one!

I find old portraits at antique malls all the time, but I never buy them. I love the first one against the navy blue wall, so maybe I should reconsider.

I'm totally obsessed with these lately too! They add so much personality. I hope I can get my hands on some good ones one day!

What beautiful spaces! I love portraits but they have to be of people I love :-) I have a gorgeous sketch of my little biy and will get one done of my little girl too. I think they'll make lovely heirlooms for when they are grown.

I don't think painted portraits are for me but pencil and old photographs are lovely. Portraits in general give space a home-ier feel and maybe this will tempt me to branch out! Thanks for the post!
