While I tend towards wearing more feminine, some might say frilly, vintage or vintage inspired pieces, I often crave a simpler, more modern, streamlined look. I suppose you could say I'm rather conflicted. If you've been following this blog for any amount of time, you have probably noticed this rift in my design aesthetic but thankfully none of you have called me out on it because you are very kind people. The great thing about fashion and design, and I suppose life in general, is that we are free to change our mind on any given day and we can dress however we damn well please with very little consequence (as long as you're ok with the occasional raised eyebrow or comments like, "I would have never thought to wear that.") Regardless, I'm currently loving the refined, paired down looks by Totokaelo. It's a perfect reminder that sometimes a plain white T and a pair of perfectly fitted pants is all you need for a style pick-me-up. Know what I mean?

Yes, it's all about the blue silk, day dress worn with the nude leather booties. It makes for a nice uniform.
