Bathroom ideas for KT

My dear friends Katie and Peter just bought a house (yay!) and as a housewarming gift, Katie's sweet mum is offering to fix up their guest bathroom. Katie contacted me in hopes that I could help. Here's what she said: "We already know we're going to take out the shower doors and put in a curved curtain rod (for more space). That mirror can either stay and get framed (my idea) or we can get a new mirror. All those fugly wood fixtures have got to go and we're painting. Other than that, no change. Nothing monumental, but I don't want to bother painting the space if we're not going to love it."
I've come up with three different looks. Katie really wants to incorporate vintage items and blues and greens in the new bathroom. The looks are pretty similar so that Katie and Peter have lots of affordable options to choose from. I've included paint colors, shower curtains, mirrors, and shelving over the toilet in each of the "designs".

Option #2
jars $18-$28

Option #3
antique rx medicine bottles (set of 3) $36
So, what do you think?  Do you like one particular set over the others?  I don't normally do this sort of thing on the blog so I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Holy crap... I freaking LOVE!! I am overwhelmed with your awesomeness. So is my mom. She said: "I stand speechless in the presence of greatness. Wow. I love it. Sure as heck beats the hell outta the fixtures aisle at Lowes, huh?" You are awesome X.

I vote for the first one. I had no idea that marimekko made shower curtains! Well done.

Amazing work on this Christina! I think #3 is my fave. Love the more masculine look to it and those prints are freaking awesome!

What a fun post! I want a friend's bathroom to re-do!

... Oh wait, I've been promising to re-do my parents. WELL THEY AREN'T AS FUN AS KATIE.

I like all three and find myself mixing some of the accessories around. I like the outdoors, so my fave is probably #3. I also find it more gender-neutral.

Great work on all three!

They're all beautiful, but I love the colour in the first one. I might have to get a few of these items for my own place!

I pick option 3--you did a great job designing those, christina.

I'm between 2 and 3 hardcore. But for me it would depend on what kind of house she has. For me personally I'd die for #3.

Ooh...I love the shower curtain in option 1, but I think overall, I have to go with number 2!

love how you did this post.

i'd say the 1st one's warm and cozy - lovely generic tones. the 2nd one's decidedly more feminine (but really pretty) and the 3rd one more modern and masculine (which i like better).

i think all three options are terrific, but i'd choose no 2 if i were painting the entire walls. this is because pale blues are cold, and research has shown that cold colours actually make you feel colder (although this might be good if your friends live somewhere warm). i also read somewhere that warm colours make you look better in the mirror =D
you've done a great job on this, christina! hope we get to see the end result!

In my opinion, I would choose between option number two and three. It seems that she needs to have a good budget for the renovation. It will be good if she could spend less for the renovation but the outcome will be better. I like the curtain from the option number two and the towels from the option number three. I'm looking forward with the new look of the bathroom. I hope you could post it here.
