Style Inspiration: Frances May

Sorry for the late post today, I'm having trouble breathing (quite literally) and am debating on whether or not the pressure in my chest is worth an emergency doctor visit or not.  If you have any tips on how to handle asthma, I'd love to hear them.
On a very different note, I'm feeling inspired by the looks of Frances May.  I ran across this Portland based designer on Mint and was impressed by the easy, laid back styling and feminine silhouettes.

Just because I can't afford any of the looks, I'm reminded that sometimes a beautifully cut piece means you don't have to jazz it up with a million accessories.  These looks are perfect for a low maintenance warm weather look.  Do check out the men's section as well, it's equally as appealing.

(Don't forget those tips on asthma if you have them, I could definitely use some guidance here.)

Go to the doctor and get a breathing apparatus that will help you to fill your lungs and yoga helps too!

Hi!

I love your blog, it is so cute and lovely.

I really wish I had some advice or tip for you about asthma, all I can say is that you should really go and see a doctor so that he/she can prescribe you exactly what you need...wishing you the best and be well.

Loving Frances May, thanks for sharing.

Don't worry about the post... go get checked out... You may need a nebulizer treatment...

The seasonal allergies have many people sick right now. Hope you feel better :)

I have a long history with asthma and have tried tons of different inhalers and treatments. However, there has only been one that I am truly happy with: Advair. It is amazing. I seriously never have to use my 'emergency' inhaler. The only down side is Advair is very spendy and not all insurance companies cover it. I'm willing to shell out the bucks to breath easy though...
P.S. The clothes are cute too!

Love the blouse top left.

Asthma tip: After you visit your doctor, get some local honey, not the kind that you purchase in the store but from a health food store, the guy on the side of the road, check local sellers even on Etsy.

I see myself written all over this.

I LOVE those top two outfits--drapey stuff is the prettiest to me. :) That black top/khaki colored elastic waist pocketed skirt is so dreamy . . . but so is the sage v-neck! I love beautiful, feminine drapey clothes . . .

This is not normal. Maybe you are allergic to something or stress but whatever it is, go to the clinic if needed! This is nuts!

My boyfriend has pretty bad asthma, and uses an inhaler. But one thing he's all about is eating local honey, so I'll second that suggestion. The idea is it helps build your resistance to local allergens, which will most likely help your asthma.

Also, you may be interested in doing something like this (if you don't already)... Now that our apartment will be pretty much closed up for the Florida summer, I want to fill it with houseplants that are especially good air filters. Indoor air quality is usually worse than outdoor, so I think this could really help the boyfriend's asthma. (I hope anyway!) And plants are prettier and less expensive and quieter than air purifiers. :)

Anyway, I just bought a book from Amazon called "How to Grow Fresh Air". It's been around for awhile and has really great reviews so I can't wait to get my hands on it and make my houseplant plan. (I'm sure there's lots of info on this on the internets too. But I always like books with pretty pictures of plants and flowers and what better reason to pick one up!)

laynemarie- that book sounds really interesting! i've heard a lot about this local honey thing too and i try to have some in my tea everyday but i think i should maybe be eating more...thanks for your information and i hope you're boyfriend's asthma reacts positively to your plant plan.
