Restrained Turquoise

Turquoise is undoubtedly one of my favorite colors, period. Since Pantone announced Turquoise as the official color of 2010, it's been everywhere (which makes me oh so happy).  I've found some spaces that use this lovely color in perfect restraint, either on a wall, a frame, the floor, or in bits and pieces of decor.  There's no need to go overboard, a touch here and there do a lot to freshen up a space.

I think the turquoise painted floor is my favorite.  What do you think?  If you could pick a color for 2011, what would it be?

Mmm, I love turquoise, especially pale turquoise with yellow and have found myself adding it to my gray and white kitchen--a glass vase and a little turquoise & yellow print have cheered me up so much lately. So I guess my answer would be pale turquoise!

I have what used to be my boring beige limestone bathroom, painted in a bright, refreshing and cheerful ...Tiffany turquoise!

It makes that start of our day, come alive gracefully, and easily.

We love it.

Turquoise is a great color, but I could easily go with purple one more year too, which I think was last years color - love dark purple!

I LOVE the turquoise used on the frames. It automatically makes you want to look at what's inside. It's like a little warm breeze floating down the hall.

I've always leaned toward turqoise but what I really love are the chandliers in the first room.

Love your blog! Turquoise is definitely one of my favorite colors.. I find that almost every one of my blog entries has at least one photo containing turquoise. I don't do it on purpose.. I just have so many turquoise things in my house and that catch my eye!

Love that painted floor as well.
