At The Foot of the Bed

Views from the foot of the bed are more intimate than other bedroom shots.  It's hard not imagine someone, mainly yourself, crawling into one of these beds for a long nap.  The bedside tables hold little treasures that speak more to the room's aesthetic and to what an individual deems so necessary that they must have it beside them, even while they sleep.

If you've been following D&OC for a while, you might be wondering what's happened to the normal Friday giveaway. I've decided to pause on giveaways for a while.  They'll be back in due time, but more infrequently because sometimes too much of a good thing lessens it's value and I don't want that to happen with the generous artists that offer their goods here.
I hope you'll bear with me as I try to find what's best for myself and, by proxy, this blog.  Thank you for being such positive, lovely readers.

these images are so beautiful. you are making me want to crawl back into bed, for sure. and you are also making me want to spruce up the side table by my bed. i have an old UGLY alarm clock that has to be about 30 years old, and NOT IN A GOOD WAY. we're talking yellowed plastic. bleh!

anywhoo, i hope you have a fab weekend. :)

Hmmm, a trunk as a side table, who would have thought? And I just turned out an old trunk that my mother-in-law offered us last weekend, maybe I need to rethink that...

I like the vintage trunk idea. That one would best for me with the big city tiny apartment. Storage but practical too.
