An Outfit: Nautical + Orange

Nautical stripes and orange shoes, yes, I went there.  I'd welcome each element of this outfit into my wardrobe in a heartbeat, from the compact saddle bag to the boyfriend skinny jeans, I think I need it all.  I definitely see the striped top working with a long necklace and I think it's about time I bought some orange shoes. Perfect for the spring!

The ring is a bit of a splurge at $140 but I think it's adorable and would make a happy alternative to an engagement or wedding band, no?

a side note: some of you have recently asked about my decision to moderate comments.  This isn't because I'm actually deleting ANY of your comments, how could I, I ♥ them, but I think some spam bot has recently taken a liking to me and keeps sending D&OC gibberish.  Spam bot- if you're reading this, I'm flattered by all of your attention but I'm getting a little tired of your non-sensical blabber and I would really appreciate if you'd STOP leaving so many f****ing comments. Please and thank you.

I wish I could pull of stripes, but I just can't! Maybe I will dress the crumb in stripes with a black tutu skirt and live vicariously through her! :)

Burnt orange is awesome - especially orange keds. I love it paired with the rolled boyfriend jeans and stripes. Perfect Spring outfit.

Hey! I've recently become blog friends with Homemade Grits (I love her blog) and she listed you as an inspiration. After checking out your blog, I would have to agree. It's great! I've recently launched my own blog and am realizing that it's the network of bloggers that will keep me going strong!

The ring, oh my gosh! My family has a sailing history, and although I don't sail anymore, it's in the blood and a huge part of my childhood (dad built sailboats professionally, uncle sails and coaches America's Cup Boats). I'm loving the nautical theme, and I think it looks great with the orange shoes!
