It's so dreary here. I feel restless. This lovely kitchen re-do, as seen on Apartment Therapy, has helped to cheer me up a bit. It's so fresh and lovely and doable.

Restlessness leads to anxiety and anxiety leads to a whole other plethora of problems, ones that I'm not interested in. How do you deal with your restlessness? (and yes, I realize exercise would help, but it's not an option today, perhaps tomorrow.)

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. What is the deal with all the bleh-ness? It seems to be running rampant. Your blog certainly helps!
this def lifted my sprits which are being drowned by lack of sunshine. exercise really does help. i motivate myself by thinking of going to the steam room after. thought its not an option today b/c of the snow. decorating is on top of my list to combat restlessness. feel better!
ahhhhh i love it!
it's perfect inspiration for my kitchen re-do. i'm having our cabinets painted white before the end of the month.
these photos prove what a difference that will make.
That 'after' shot is my ideal kitchen! White cabinets are the best :)
I break out the glue gun;)
I feel restless too, but these pictures make me feel a little bit more calm. Beauitful!
Love it! I just got new white cabinets for my kitchen and they look so fresh & bright.
I knew you would have a "plates on the wall" image :)
the real b**ch (didn't want to scandalize your readers there) about restlessness is not the lack of ideas or things you could/should/want to be doing. It's about the fact that you have no desire to do them, but feel itchy to not feel restless anymore. Exercise, meh...sure, if that's your inclination, but man, I don't know. I usually have to start with something small like cooking dinner or reading a short story or poem, or going out for coffee with joel, or calling my friends, or watching a sappy movie.
i stay busy. clean my toilet, my sink, the most mundane tasks help me calm down. and music, put on some good music, that help, too.
I love that kitchen! Especially because it IS doable. Very nice & realistic. I can't help you on the restless front - I'm in the same boat! I'm quite restless right now & should direct that towards studying, but not fun!
Love that print mixed in with the plate wall... and how fun is that rolling pin hanging on the wall?
Wow, that is a great makeover! When I start feeling restless I like to retreat to my room and get lost in a book. I'm not always able to do so with taking care of my two little ones and all, but even if I get a chance at the end of the day for ten minutes it helps take my mind off things. And of course blog surfing! I like to look at all the pretty tumblr blogs in particular for a quick pick-me-up. Hope you are feeling back to "yourself" soon.
It's amazing what a can of paint can do! :)
I love the globes on top of the cabinets, and the white paint truly transforms them. You should do something completely atypical! Have breakfast for dinner, paint your nails a funny color, do something new! I hope you feel better soon :)

Gorgeous...just love makeovers..this one is super!
I would never have thought of putting globes in a kitchen, as opposed to a library. very clever.
makes me scared....mine are brown..
Oh how lovely! I adore the vintage feel to it!
ahhh another wall-plates~
wooHoo!!
lovely shots.
i am so angry and restless lately. it is not good. i feel like poison is inside of me and it is eeking its way out. ugh. poison begone! must find healthy, happy ways to get rid of this nonsense and avoid anxiety and mistakes! sometimes exercise helps. or a frigging vacation! :)
I love this kitchen. I think the rainy weather is making me down, and thankfully the brightness of the kitchen gives me hope for spring!
