With the season's change comes the inevitable urge to "re do" things, whether it be your wardrobe or your space. Obviously when you're on a budget, this urge can lead to frustration, and if you're not careful, increasing amounts of debt. However, since we're all trying to live within our means (right?), a little creativity and flexibility can go a long way in abating the 'give everything away and start over again' urge.
Let's chat about the bedroom for a second. Changing out your bedspread for a strong jewel toned quilt, duvet cover or blanket adds instant warmth and a bit of glamor.

Oh, I can't help but love the fuschia! It's just a touch tacky enough for me.
I love the fuschia... and there must be something in the air, because I just did a post as well about bedrooms. I really need to spruce mine up a bit... without breaking the bank!! Hoping to get some ideas from all of the creative people out in blogger world!
I'm loving all these rich colors!
oh how I love the peacock green and fuchsia...
Nice. I want one of those beds
I totally agree that fall makes me want to nest! the bf and i totally rearranged our room, got new curtains, an amazing peace lilly, and a new shag rug for those chilly winter floors. i might have to keep going with a bedspread now! i really love the first one. :-)
I'm painting the wall behind my bead a deep grey, its called "Intellectual". {Behr love VOC paint+primer in one} I am also doing the focal wall behind the dining table. I have swatches up now, its going to look good :) I will probably change out the accent pillows on my sofa as well. {Did I mention I have a pillow addicition?, Lol who does'nt!}
p.s.
the first 2 beds are drop dead gorgeous
I LOVE them... and my bedroom really needs a little sumthin' this may be perfect!
Love those jewel tones! My favorites are the peacock green and the custard yellow! Perfect!
I'm actually in the process of decorating. I can't say I'm re-decorating because I never really did anything. We have black and white comforters but I need some color and this is good inspiration! Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, those places are amazing for finding cool stuff!
Oh girl! I love those photos, except for the 5th (too classic for my taste) I would love to see my bedroom like that, so pretty... My plans for my space? well our flat is old, and more than decoration it actually needs hard works! ;O) We did the bathroom this summer... kitchen is next! ;O)
(thanks a lot for you kind comment and your tweet, I really appreciate, you are the best Chris!)
Such an easy way to change the look of a room! The peacock and fuchsia are my fav!
i just ordered a new couch (GULP) and bought a few things at ikea. time to spruce up, at least a little bit.
So dreammmmyyy! Love the punch of color on neutral decor. I miss my own bed, Christina!
xo as always!
wow...didn't think i would ever say that but i LOVe the pumpkin room. i've always dreamt of curtains around my bed...a bit of princess symdrome here, maybe...
that post make me want the weather to be cold and me cosy in my room!
Simply divine - but peacock green is swoon-o-rama!!
Not a little thing: we're moving! Haha. But I hope to get a few key pieces like throw blankets and a table runner that will enliven the space on a budget (cause moving is expensive!)
your post reminded me of a green jeweled bed spread i had, i loved it! my dog, notsomuch.
I love all those picks/pics.
We need to get curtains for our place. It looks a bit bland and not very homey without them
Oh, love the colors! All perfect for the fall. I am just switching out a few throw pillows and going to get a new doormat--nothing very exciting:)
I always switch our sheets to organic flannel on October 31st!
I am loving those...
{I'm not making any changes...well...as of yet...} :)
BUT omg this post is awesome...I am so exhausted though...now I really have to go find a BED!! NEED SLEEP :) ..something like the last picture would work SPLENDIDLY! :)
All gorgeous!! I need to redecorate... :)
such a great tip!
as soon as I get home from my trip, I am changing out my bedding and hauling out my autumn decor!
I am feeling the top Teal/Peacock Green.
...I don't see Fuchsia from here,
...I see Grape color Kool-aid.
love all the pictures, but the fuchsia and peacock green are by far my faves - gorgeous!
Beautiful beds! I particularly love the bed with the drapes and the books surrounding it. Oh, I'm daydreaming about spending an entire day there, reading and napping...
Love them all. I'm usually not a yellow fan but that custard yellow bedspread is pretty fun (especially in that bedroom!)
Fabulous rooms. Each one! I'm not making huge changes in my space, but the little things like burning fall candles make my apartment feel like Fall is here. -carlee
Oh that first bedroom is perfection in every way. I'm filing it away right now!
i love the 1st and the last bedrooms.. they look divine!
Oh yes yes yes, I love jewel tones for ALL seasons! The peacock green is really rubbing me the right way these days ;]
