Handmade lingerie

~
I apologize for the lack of posting this morning. I have a nasty case of strep throat and, no, I am not 10 years old. I've been sleeping on and off most of the day, but being the dedicated blogger that I am, I did manage to compile a little list of pretty underthings for you. I have no idea why I'm thinking about lingerie as I'm feeling anything but sexy right now, but it occurred to me that I'd never searched the lingerie section of Etsy before. Lingerie must be a tricky thing to photograph, especially on a site like Etsy. These shop owners, in my humble opinion, styled and photographed the fanciful lingerie better than others.
Ethnic flower print camisole $55
via Naomilingerie
Racy Lacy Knicker Set $26
via Kelsey Genna
Navajo Waist Cincher Zipper Bottoms $72
via Clare Bare
Sandmaiden bamboo and organic cotton jersey lace trimmed panty $30
via Sandmaiden
Ivory Tower Romper Playsuit Jumper $135
via Under the Root
The styling of these photos draws me immediately to the product. All of these pieces above are good mix of sweet and sexy and the styling helps set the stores apart.
How does styling effect your online shopping experience? Are you more easily swayed towards products with good styling and/or photography?
I hope you all are having a good week- I'm off to kick step's ass! Wish me luck!

Lovely lingerie, I am more likely to stop for a look when the photography/presentation is pretty... I have an etsy shop (that I rarely update) and have the hardest time taking good photographs of stuff!

Styling and photography definitely influence my online shopping! If the presentation is bland and boring who is going to have fun looking through the items?

LOVE that last jumpsuit!

Oh dear! Sorry to hear about the throat - it's been rampant here in Sydney - I've just recovered from the 'flu....best of luck with that sweetie! These are sooo cute - I'm hopeless with underthings as you so delicately put it!! I often end up wearing an old T!

I am such a sucker for pretty packaging and pictures. I think most of us product of this highly visual culture we now live in. We are bombarded with beautiful pictures non-stop!

I wonder if one day minimalism will go back in style......

Anyways, thats enough blah-blah-blahing on my part!!!

Hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!
PS: I LOVE these pictures you posted (esp. the 1st one!)

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Strep is the worst. :( I absolutely love these little lingerie pieces. I could see myself wearing them around the house without feeling too revealed especially that first one. So adorable!

Hope you feel better!

Aw, hope you feel better! I used to get strep throats practically once a month as a kid.

And yes, styling definitely matters. If nothing else, it proves that the seller is serious about their business and will hopefully translate that seriousness to their product, indicating a higher quality, better customer service, et.c.

styling plays a HUGE role in what I buy. I think it affects most people as well--I've always noticed that if the model is wearing a specific color on the website, it's usually the first color to sell out (if the piece of clothing is offered in multiple colors as well).

The first one is my favorite - great photo too.

Hope you are feeling much better. xoxo

I love that third one and I'm a total sucker for good styling. Just like really pretty packaging. Even though I know it has nothing to do with the product, I can't help it. Sorry to hear you're sick. I hope you feel better soon! xoxo, alek

You're totally right about the styling. It makes the product look that much more appealing! Now only if I would look like the girls in the photos while wearing them....ha!
