Unframed mirrors

I ran across Dave Coote's work yesterday while visiting Glass of Bubbly. The site describes him as having a "quirky retro style with an emphasis on reclaimed materials." It's not hard to see why I like this his work. Anway, I noticed a motif of unframed mirrors in many of his spaces and I really adore the look.
The interesting shapes work well unframed and clusters of mirrors are one of my favorite ways to add interest to a room.
This set up is unexpected but really works.
So simple and so pretty.
If it were up to me, every hallway would have mirrors. It makes tight spaces seem a lot less claustrophobic.
These mirrors instantly add shabby chic charm to an all white room.

The simplicity of the unframed mirror makes it a great piece for groupings. I love a good frame, but there's something about this almost unfinished look that is romantic and charming.
What do you think about these unframed mirrors?

Totally fabulous. I love beveled mirrors, and mixing and matching shapes and sizes; mirrors really make a small room look much larger, and brighten up any space;) Makes me want to start scouting out funky mirrors now . . .

Really like the look, but they're hard to find! My favorite are the pretty oval shaped ones.

i love mirrors full stop, i think the fact that they are bevelled and have such interesting shapes means they don't need a frame at all , we used to collect those old art deco mirrors .lovely pictures there

It's the collection of mirrors that is so smart.

It is very good feng-shui to have a mirror for all the different height levels of all the family members of the house.

So fun.

I love them and have several. When we first moved into our house, I wasn't sure of my art style so I turned to mirrors to adorn the walls. We've scaled back some, but I do love the vintage feel of the unframed versions.

I adore this look, but have a question: these are all vintage mirrors, right? They don't make "new" mirrors like this, do they?

I have a thing for mirrors and I love really ornate frames but I also love this bare look too. I think it works especially well in groups and that last bedroom is heavenly. This is such a great roundup!

Hi!
I like how you're writing and may follow your blog during a while.
But I'm writing here because I try to figure out how you stumbled on my blog. It seems like miles away from yours.
So I'm just being terribly curious, sorry for that :)
