For the second "installment" of Hump Day Spotlight, I am thrilled to introduce one of my very favorite blogs...
Drollgirl
I don't remember how I came across Drollgirl in the first place, but I remember being instantly hooked. The author of this (sometimes shockingly) funny blog maintains her anonymity, but she's a blogger I would take the opportunity to sit down and have coffee (or an alcoholic beverage) with because I know we would be fast friends. It's difficult to describe Drollgirl as a blog, but it always manages to entertain me whether it be through interesting art picks, uncomfortable photographs, charming bits of disclosure by the writer, or just ridiculously funny commentary...I always leave this blog satifsfied (so to speak). Here's how Drollgirl tackled my three questions:

The pilot would take me to the Van Gogh Museum, and he would make sure I did not get lost because I am a basketcase traveler and I have never been to Amsterdam. Once there, I would have the entire museum to myself so that I could look at all the gorgeous paintings without the interference of others. Maybe they would let me keep a painting if I gave the museum a large enough donation. Hmmm. That would be worth a try.
Then I would take in as many
sites as I could see in Amsterdam, including checking out places like

Picky, picky, picky!
If you could have one day to do anything you wanted to
do...no consequences, unlimited money, what would you do?
I would travel to Amsterdam on a tiny and very safe jet that had no passengers on it except for me and tons and tons of PUPPIES! The puppies would be everywhere and they would make me so happy and keep me from being too nervous on that long plane ride to Amsterdam.

What do you think makes a blog successful or how would you describe a successful blog?
I like blogs that reflect the personality, taste, personal experiences, and wit of the writer. I want to see more than pretty pictures on a blog [my emphasis]. I appreciate it when bloggers talk about their personal lives--the good and the bad things happening in their lives -- the stuff that the rest of us can relate to. I just find that is is so helpful to read about the styruggles of others and to know that we all have issues to contend with. I am not always good at writing about such things, but I am trying to improve in the his area. Oh! One more thing. A blog with a little bit of wit always makes me come back for more.
Thanks Drollgirl for participating! Now go check out her blog!

She's faboo!!! I'm lucky to get to work with her in real life and when the boss is out of town we talk blogs all day long. I'm so happy she started hers because she is fabulous and has a great sense of humor and honestly, if she ever quit, I couldn't handle working in the gallery without her!!!
I love her 3 describing words but here are mine for her.

Love funny bloggers. Will check it out.
Drollgirl, I've been to Amsterdam on a plane where I was by myself in the cabin but not with puppies, unfortunately. My husband was there though and he was very cute and distracting. And the flight was free because we had won a contest. So, I guess the point is you never know. People get to Amsterdam in strange ways.
Aw, you had me at "plane full of puppies". Amsterdam has just moved up quite a few spots on my "places to see before I die list". Those photos are beautiful! Drollgirl really is one cool chick, isn't she?
Are you at UGA? Perhaps you know my cousin Linda Bachman and/or her husband Doug Toma.
i very much agree with her philosophy of what makes a successful blog!
i'm off to check out her blog now!
she is hilarious...great interview!
How did I miss this post? Can I please join you on that flight. Puppies are amazing. Not to mention the Van Gogh museum.
