So I finally got a full length mirror, I mean, what took me so long?! It's nothing special, but I assumed that in getting this mirror I would feel more confident that the bottom half of me looked good too. Well this morning in the elevator, a woman commented on my dress, "that is such a cute dress (insert Southern drawl here)." I look down at myself, which is some sort of weird habit I acquired whenever someone compliments me, and noticed my friggin dress was on backwards. BACKWARDS! Ugh, that full length mirror is SO not what it was built up to be.
Anyway, I'm honored today to be guest posting on the wonderful blog, From the Right Bank to the Left Coast. If you're interested in better digestion (yup, I just said "better digestion") than check it out here.
via flickrLet me know what you think...oh, and a BIG THANK YOU for all of your thoughtful, and in some cases profound, comments yesterday. You all are some sage advice givers and I appreciate your kind words. (Can we do a group hug now?)

hahah I used to love it when girls on my team would show up in a hurry to practice and the number on the their shorts that was supposed to be in the front, was on the back!
At least you know it looks good two ways? :-) there's really no talking your way out of obvious backwards shorts
yes, a full length mirror is absolutely needed. I only got one last year and guess what? lost 40 pounds! needed for sure!
ha ha! aww.. I just got a full length mirror too! Only I opted for the cheap route - not good. well, sort of, its more like a fun house mirror and makes me look taller and thinner. Which is fantastic, but I think I like a mirror to represent reality! Tosh made a mirror for a customer that was huge and amazing - now I want a 6ft x 4ft mirror!
Oh dear, how hilarious!! Going to check it out now!
I think you are amazing...I find you by the lovely blog Head over Heels and your comment made me smile because It's the same thing I thought!!!I'd like you to visit my blog ...
as least it wasn't a backless dress;)
Great job, xv.
those flowers look adorable....
I don't have a full length mirror! I need one, I tend to check myself out in the building's reflection before I head into work.
So I guess this dress had no zipper? You're so fashionable that someone commented you on a backwards dress, how awesome is that??
How funny!
I went to see a game down at the Astrodome once and suddenly noticed I was wearing one purple and silver "flip flop: sytle shoe and a pink and floral print shoe, same style!!!
My kids maintained a distance hoping people wouldn't know we were together.
Love your stuff!!!
Yes, it's a must...I have a 3way mirror so I can see my backside too...haha so vain me!

when she was in high school, my mom once went the entire day without realizing her bra was on backwards. im sure she looked like some hippie camel.
and woops! perhaps i should have included a warning at the beginning of my post. sorry lovee--
It's usually my t-shirt that is inside out; it looks better that way. ;P
i just discovered your blog a love it! so many lovely photos and full of inspiration!
I once left my boyfriend's apartment with my skirt on backwards. Which would've been fine...(I was just going to my car)...but I ran into his brother. Awwkward.
I most definitely have done that too. And the sad part is it's happened more than once.
I have left the house in non-matching shoes before. Group hug, haha! You know I'm a hugger, I did grow up in the south after all. I am learning to accept the cheek kiss too, as I'm marrying into a family that greets and parts with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, even if they've just met you. Great red kitchen guest post. I left you a comment on "From Left Bank..." as well. Thanks for sending me to such a cool blog!
That's hilarious! At least it still looked cute :)
on my way to check you out!
HAHAHAHA! oh dear! Man have I been there!
Good job on getting the full length! :0)
