Be not afraid of the flower

Warning: If you do not like floral motifs this post is not for you. Feel free to skip and come back tomorrow where you can enter to win something special (shhhh!)
I just came back from a lovely lunch with B and I think my right arm is sun burnt (yay for the sun, boo to skin damage!) Today is just a tease of the heat that's about to come to my little city and my hair is not long enough for a pony tail yet (grow hair, grow). For whatever reason, I'm in an obnoxious floral mood so I gathered some interiors with bold floral pattern to share with you. There's really no rhyme or reason here, just BIG flowers (oh and don't say I didn't warn you).
The wall is bold while the furniture is neutral (except for the lamp).

How do you feel about a flower that's bigger than you?

I wonder what the owner of this room is like...probably not a quiet individual.

I really like the contrast of the sharp, angular star against the multiple floral patterns.

I admire the commitment here (even if it is a bit much for me).

Maybe a bold floral sofa is all you need to make a point?

I do really like this wallpaper and it fits nicely into a small space.

Floral wallpaper and a floral canopy (is that what that is?)

This is probably the closest to my taste and even though there's definitely floral in there, it's not overwhelming.

There really isn't much floral in my house (except for the actual flowers we have). In fact, I'm having a hard time thinking of any decor we have that's floral. Well, I'm glad I got this out of my system...if you made it through the floral mess what do you think? Could you handle a room full of flowers?

I don't know...I don't think I could handle a whole room full of flowers, but some of these are really nice. I even think that super huge yellow flower on the wall is pretty cool. It's something different than the all-over the place flower.

I agree about the sun damage thing too...I'm still recovering from a bout with sunburn from Monday! Hopefully I learned my lesson for the summer!

Although I consider myself fabric-ly challenged, I love florals mixed together with other patterns. Someone else just has to put it together for me. I really like the bedding that 4th picture.

I couldn't handle a room full of flowers, but some strategic, modern floral prints can make a nice accent . . . as I say this, I realize I have no floral prints in my house either . . . hmmmmm . . .

I can handle some flowers - more than one pattern of flowers in a room and I wouldn't know what to do with it! I could handle that lampshade in the room with the star for sure!

we only have real flowers in our home. well, except for a quilt in my daughters room. I would so have a bold couch like that if I had the yellow shelves to match:)

I'm totally stealing your comment "I admire the commitment". Such a great way of putting it! I like florals in small doses...but, I do love the wall of flowers with neutral furniture...very cool.

LOVE the yellow painted shelving! I think I might do something similar when I finally get to move this fall.

I have that photo with the giant yellow flower in my files too. I think it's fabulous! It makes me want to paint a giant flower somewhere in the house.

I really love that last photo of the bed, although I am not sure if it's for me.
