Rich golden yellows, deep sultry plums, stark white and a small pop of bright cerulean blue. I keep being drawn to this interesting palette again and again, especially for the bedroom. What do you think about this palette? Could you see yourself using it in your home?
(like interiors? check out D&OC II for a full dose of interior inspiration)

A great and inspiring color aesthetic.
ReplyDeleteAnd I see that you still visually keep it light with bright white walls.
I tend, instead to go deep and dark in my bedroom. Cuddle up in my cozy warm cave.
Supposedly, the best restful colors are those that compliment our skin.
Cheers!
I would totally use it in my home. I love a healthy dose of color.

Now I seriously want to go and redecorate
ReplyDeletethat first image is the ONE. I am putting a mental note in my head. Love it.
ReplyDeleteso fun!
ReplyDeleteAnswer to your question is a definite yes. It really only works because of all the neutrals. Last picture is a total dream space of mine. I love industrial spaces with pretty interiors.
ReplyDeleteHave to confess, I have such an unconscious (funny part) soft spot for mustard and purple color palettes. I didn't realize I loved them so until I looked around my apartment!
ReplyDeleteThese past few weeks I've become a total slave to lounging in my bed as often as I can get there (I blame this freezing cold weather). These images are making me want to switch things up and bring more POP to my love for bed.
ReplyDeleteI could happily use a palette like this for my bedroom. It might start me off on the right foot on these dreary Vancouver mornings...Carol
ReplyDeleteOpposites on the color wheel are always my go-to rule for creating visual interesting and toying with the eye!
ReplyDeleteViolet and Yellow being my favorites!
