Interiors: Purple + Blue

This analogous color scheme has always been a little tricky for me and yet I like the how these spaces  appear almost monochromatic with the accent colors and yet they're obviously not.  The combination can be bold and electric (image 2) or more subdued and calming (image 7).  I adore the colors of the rug in the first space with the addition of magenta.  I definitely think the combo can waver on garish but I'd be willing to give it a try.  What about you?

    great combo, dont think they would suit a small house though. or for it to work perhaps the lighter/paler shades!

    I love that purple can be almost masculine when paired right. Might consider this for our next living room

    I have always loved purple to decorate with---from walls to throw pillows---but blue and purple together. Love!
