WAHOO! We made it to the end of the week. I'm happy to report that I slept better last night after pulling my bed to the middle of the room and sleeping under the fan! It doesn't look great, but at least there aren't any falling surprises. (Our landlord reacted in the best way possible and is sending a pet- friendly exterminator to the house.)
To help celebrate the weekend, we have a wonderful artist offering a bit of a giveaway. First, let's talk about Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree. Jacqueline is an Australian based artist who's shop consists of a little bit of everything: necklaces, magnets, bookmarks, and earrings. I was drawn to her work due to her use of "vibrant Japanese chiyomagi paper." B has been using this material for his paper cranes and it's wonderfully detailed and colorful.
YUBIWA Ring $14
YUBIWA Ring $14
In Bloom Hairclips $12
Grey Lucite Chrysanthemum Ring $10
Do you know what that means? It means, depending on what you choose (oh the choices) you can get not one, but two items!
HARU Bracelet $18
Her work is creative and sweet and I'm thrilled she's offering a giveaway on Down and Out Chic.
Here's how to enter:
1) Please be a Follower of Down and Out Chic or subscribe via a reader. Giveaways are a BIG THANK YOU to my readers. If you're new, great!
2) Please visit Under the Shade of the Bonsai Tree and tell me what you like.
3) Leave a comment here...it's easy as 1...2...3!
A winner will be drawn June 24th at 6pm-ish. Good Luck and Happy Weekend to you and a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jacqueline!!!
~Christina

ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, I love her Navy Lucite Ring.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the small bug problem is getting taken care of... when I was growing up we lived in a house behind a restaurant and we think the roaches came from there. No matter how much my poor mom cleaned and sprayed they never went away. It was horrible and so embarrassing when friends would come over. I was always afraid that one would pop out at any moment!
Wow! very nice shop!!!
ReplyDeleteMy very favourite is the Haru bracelet:
