Do More w/Your Money: Three Ring Dress

What's better than a handmade dress ($75) in a cheerful, playful print for warm weather? How about a dress where 20% of the proceeds go to fight and prevent human trafficking? Yes, I think that might do it! In fact, with every purchase you make from The Velvet Bird, you'll also be making a small contribution that might make a huge difference. It's a win-win situation.

These handmade convertible wrap dresses ($79-98) by Coralie Beatrix are not only practical but they come in the prettiest colors and the dress lengths are customizable. In case you're like me and are wondering how a single dress converts to create these different looks, the designer provides helpful videos to show us how it's done. So smart.

Shop: Deuce Fashion

How was your weekend? I treated myself to a few purchases this weekend, a couple of them from Deuce. I ordered this one for my sister-in-law's rehearsal dinner and this one just because (far one on left). I also found and bought a plain white tee that fits perfectly. All in all, a pretty good weekend!

Tank Dresses by Thief & Bandit

New tank dresses by Thief & Bandit starting at $58. I'd wear one over a bathing suit or on the hottest of days running errands around town. Thief & Bandit just released their Spring/Summer lookbook and I want ever single piece. I mean that. Every.Single.Piece.

Decor: Cross-stitched anchor

How awesome is this large cross-stitched anchor ($160) by Jessica Decker? As much as I love mini versions of just about anything, I also like giant replicas as decor...remember the giant key? I have to admit though, I'm a little obsessed with anchors right now.
Full disclosure - I'm actually thinking about getting a new anchor tattoo on my left arm so perhaps I'm a little partial to the image. The oversized cross-stitch is just the icing on the cake.

Gift Giving: My Roots Lie Here

The My Roots Lie Here collection was designed by Children Inspire Design to "tell a story of how families come together from all parts of the world." I think these prints are the perfect gift for children (perhaps for a nursery?) and adults alike and I would love one of my own featuring Puerto Rico. Check out the selection here ($40 each).

Do More With Your Money: Acorn and Archer

I've been really into wood accents in jewelry lately and Acorn and Archer has some simple, no-fuss pieces using "reclaimed, recycled, and sustainably sourced woods." You can even choose from different wood types for each design. It's a hard decision but I think I want this one.

pssst...looking for some bold jewelry options? Check out my latest post on Papernstitch

Keepsake Feather Necklace

Happy Friday! Are you looking forward to the weekend? We have a lot to do to get ready for our trip back to Georgia- clean the house, wrap presents, mail gifts, etc. The holidays are fun, no doubt, but boy oh boy is this a busy time or what?

I wanted to share this sweet feather keepsake necklace ($28) Xoxii Shop with you. This is a Netherlands based shop so even though you won't be able to get in time for the holidays, it might be a nice keepsake to treat yourself to, no? Each feather is unique and I just think the idea is too sweet.

Enjoy your weekend friends! xo
