Gift Idea: Temporary Tats

I must have missed it but when did temporary tattoos become so hip? And well designed? And not marketed towards kids? I ran across this pretty temporary love tattoo recently and started poking around for more options. Two shops that stood out:  Pepper Ink and Tattly. Tattly has a giant selection (designed by lots of different artists you probably recognize), my favorites being from the typographic group. And if you're looking for a custom name tattoo, Pepper Ink has your back.
Wouldn't these make fun gifts? I'm thinking party favors, stocking stuffers, tucked into thank you notes or just give a few to the friend that's thinking about getting their first tattoo. Just for fun.

Another idea for temporary tattoos? Business cards.
I have six very permanent tattoos. You can see a couple of them peeking out in this photo.

Paper Goods: Mom, you were right

This Mom, you were right series by Farewell Paperie made me chuckle. Each letterpress card is $5 and what better way to admit to your mom that she was right than on Mother's Day?

Paper Goods: The Paper Club

A little something for every occasion from The Paper Club. This line is designed by the same folks who created Sass & Peril, another great shop for handmade gifts (perfect for the little ones). I really like this mint and black combo and want a collection of these cards so I'm never caught unprepared without a card at the ready. I always prefer a 'Heck Yeah!' over a sad face though.

Bags & Pouches by Júlia Marco

The Spring/Summer 2013 textile collection by Valencia based designer and illustrator Júlia Marco combines so many of my favorite things: totes, pouches and, of course, triangles. Oh, and 100% organic cotton and leather. I like those things too. The bags are reasonably priced at 38 euros for the totes and 16 euros for the pouches with shipping available to the U.S. What's not to love here? Check out Júlia's shop to purchase. Happy Monday!

Decor: Snug Vase

These geometric vases by German based Snug Studio are actually cardboard folded to create vessels. They're available in two heights- low and high ($17) and three colors- grey, copper, and white. Simply construct the vase and place over a small glass or bottle, and they're ready to. Clever design, no? You can shop the entire collection here or here.
Oh, and I blogged about Snug's jewelry back in 2011. I still want one of those wood necklaces. Two years later.

My oh my, where does the time go? It has been over a month since my last 6 things which is crazy seeing as how sharing handmade gems is one of my favorite topics for the blog. I guess the rush of the holiday season has left me scurrying a bit, hence the lack of gift guides. Oh well, you win some, you lose some I guess. Speaking of gifts, how's the holiday shopping going? I'm almost done and still within budget! Whew. Who's ready for a vacation?
