Interiors: Neutral Rustic

What these spaces lack in color, they make up in thoughtful details, organic texture, and rustic warmth. I'm especially smitten with the open shelving and cream colored dishes in the first kitchen as well as the mirror arrangement in the last bathroom. There's lots to love in these spaces, including those sweet succulents, don't you think?

Interiors: A few art walls...

...that I'm liking right now. It seems as though I prefer an eclectic mix as opposed to a graphic, modern, super tidy set (although, if you prefer graphic, this set is pretty awesome). We don't currently have an art wall, but here's the last one that I put together. Also, if you love vintage art, you'll love these

Interiors: Tapestries

What could be easier than a tapestry to some color, pattern, texture to a space? Not only are they super versatile, they're also easy to move around (or hide) when that need to redecorate hits you, as it inevitably will. I think the third space's neutral version is my favorite. What about you?

Interiors: Boho Bedrooms

Although I admire minimalism (I know I've said this a thousand time on this blog) I can't help my attraction to more eclectic spaces. Spaces layered with objects and texture, collections and color. Spaces with a bohemian, carefree vibe like the bedrooms above. I especially love the purple and green combination of the last space. It's unexpected but not shocking and it's the kind of bedroom I'd be apt to take lots of naps in.

Speaking of naps, any fun plans for this holiday weekend? We're going to a minor league baseball game tonight (my first one!). Other than that, I'm hoping to get some much needed rest. This has been a brutal allergy season and I want to hide indoors, away from the pollen, as much as possible. Have a great Easter! xo

Interiors: Soft Blush

Happy Monday! I'm currently traveling from Dallas to Raleigh and had a great weekend with my siblings. A few observations from my latest trip to Texas: I still think North Carolina BBQ is the best BBQ around (I realize these are fighting words for some of you, but I stand firm on this one); I love, love, love horseback riding but man am I sore, and cowboys are still my favorite.
So how about the different use of soft pink in these interiors? I really like how the pink in the fourth image acts like a neutral while the pink in the second image helps soften a modern couch. It's a versatile color, no doubt. Which space is your favorite?

Interiors: Bedroom Serenity

These neutral, mostly colorless bedrooms are utterly serene and relaxing. They really makes me second guess my overly enthusiastic use of color in the bedroom. Perhaps that's why I'm not getting enough sleep? There's a thought...

Interiors: Dreamy Bedroom

I think this bedroom is so fantastic it deserves a post all its own. It was photographed by Chris Court and although many of the elements aren't items I'd generally pick (i.e. puff on the wall, acrylic chair) the combination works beautifully. There's a bohemian glamor about this space that I really love. I also think it would work well with my dream bathroom. Am I alone here or does anyone else love this bedroom as much as I do?

p.s. Happy Leap Year! What will you be doing with your extra day?

Interiors: Rustic Grey

I found these charming, (mostly) monochromatic, rustic spaces on Nü Home's inspiration page. I think the words, "refined bohemian" describe the style here, but perhaps you have a better description? Either way, I'd love to have a country home away from home with a bathroom just like that one.

Interiors: Country Home in Tasmania

This house tour, as seen in Home Life, features a country home located in Tasmania that was built from  salvaged and reclaimed wood. The bedroom attic is what initially caught my attention (I mean, HELLO) but the whole home space is filled with rustic charm. Do you love this home as much as I do? I'd move to Tasmania just to sleep in that bedroom. Never mind that someone else owns the house. The details could be worked out, I'm sure of it.  Check out the full tour here.

Interiors: Dark and Lovely

It has been dreary, cold and wet in Raleigh for the past few days. Weather like this puts me in the mood for dark, warm, comforting interiors. The two bedrooms are my favorite. Very romantic, no?
