Art: Embroidered Map Collages

I'm really intrigued by these embroidered map collages by Shannon Rankin, available at Selflesh. The mix of materials is unexpected and interesting. Prints, originals and customized work (which could be really cool if there's a particular location on a map you'd like to see) available right here.

    I think the best textile artist, IMHO, is China Marks! She says that she "paints with her sewing machine" and "draws with thread", it is absolutely amazing to watch and view! Google her for sure!
