Jen Altman's polaroid portraits are heartbreakingly beautiful in their simplicity. You can read about her creative process here and even hire her for some portraits of your own children (wow). I'm eagerly awaiting her first book, polaroid 'how to's', to be released in 2012 by Chronicle books. I've been a fan of her work for some time and even gifted my sister-in-law with Polaroid Notes last year. What do you think about these portraits?

love them! i've recently started using my brother's spectra polaroid with film from the impossible project. maybe i should try portraits!? thanks for the info, christina!
those are seriously breathtaking
i agree. i love this work..simple. I like the "white dust" that seems to be laying over each image. well done.
um, THESE ARE ADORABLE! love the colors, the composition, the atmospheric effects. just fantastic!
These photos are gorgeous, really caught my eye. The styling and simple poses are really innocent and lovely.
i love them - but then again, i love everything she does. these are extraordinarily wonderful though (and i'm not always so fond of polariods).
Beautiful. It's amazing what people can squeeze out of a somewhat limited medium.
