Interiors: Red + Neutral

Red decor is a must for me but I especially like it when paired against a neutral backdrop.  Add red to cream, grey, or white walls and you instantly have a little more pep in your step.   Don't get me wrong here, I like bold combinations too (red and purple or red and blue anyone?) but there's something to be said about the energetic yet comfortable coziness that can be achieved with a red and neutral color palette.  Do you have any red in your home? If so, what colors do you pair it with?

My new place will mostly be red because I love how it goes with the other colors. I love that dining set!! That octopus pillow too is pretty awesome!

I am LOVING those interior shutters!

Red is my all time favorite color, I could live and die in all those rooms.

Cheers

It's so weird, I LOVE red. I do exclusively red nailpolish, for example, but I don't decorate with it. Not even a little. Strange!

Love the red and white ticking bedding and those red chairs! We've got red sofas in our rental apartment and they do add a real pop of colour :)

I like that pop of color, and red makes my happy color list.

My living room has red accents (curtains, throw pillows, etc.) with light gray walls, and the wood on the bookcase and coffee table has a dark walnut finish. My current couches are tan, but when I replace them I want to get dark gray. My floor is hardwood by I'm toying with the idea of getting a red area rug too.

In fact, come to think of it, most of the rooms in my house are neutral with bold pops of color. :-)

OOOhhhh definitely yes I have lots of red things - dining chairs, rugs and paintings with red tones in them mostly. The first flat I lived in, my red rugs went so well with the dark grey carpet and shiny wood floors. Not so much against my current carpet which is this sparse, kind of vomit colour :(
