I'm being serious so listen up!

I won't bore you with sentiments although I'm tempted to gush over how lucky I feel to be part of a strong, loving, supportive community of bloggers. I don't want to sound cliche although I can't help but say, it's nice to have someone to lean on, to be pushed and encouraged towards bigger and better things by like minded individuals.
I hate to sound dramatic, but I need to mention that I'm still confused about how I can feel so loved by people I've never met.
The blogging community isn't all sugar and spice...sure there's plagiarism, and manipulation, attention seeking behavior and bad mouthing, there's gossip, cruel comments, quick severing of relationships, and jealousy. Sure, there's all that, but I choose to focus on THIS... the goodness, the POSITIVE comments, the cheering on when someone has a success, the applaud when a new shop is opened or a new endeavor sought.
I want to sincerely thank these bloggers that have mentioned my new shop and I hope you'll take the time to go visit them. Each of these blogs is incredibly unique and run by wonderful women that have a story to share and many posts worth reading.
Thank you...

Thank you to the rest of you that consistently leave uplifting comments. If you're new here and you haven't heard from me, I'm not ignoring you. I will be by for a visit soon. I know I'm blessed with unbelievably wonderful readers so THANK YOU.
Group hug anyone?
{if you've mentioned my shop and I'm not aware of it, please let me know so I can thank you properly!}

I think the blog world has filled a huge void in my life. My friends, you know the ones where it's not work, it's just natural to be friends with them, well they leave me. It's been a sad road. But finding like minded people through blogs has been healing. I know it you lived in my town we'd be friends. We'd hit up the local yard sales to find cool clip on earrings. You're the best! Keep up the good work!

This is such a wondeful post... I feel the same way. People I have NEVER met are so kind, and so thoughtful and can brighten my day. It's a pretty neat thing to be a part of.
And I will do a little post about your beautiful Etsy store in the next week- so happy to be able to spread the word about your new venture!!

Important thoughts! We do spend a lot of effort and time to create posts and layouts, and it is disappointing when we see our work uncredited elsewhere. I know you are an original so I would know the truth! :)Group hug back~

Such a sweet post! I agree that the blog world is not only a fun place, but also a place where you can find a unique type of support that you may not find elsewhere (especially for an Etsy seller).

I just found you! But I love this...

The description kills me, in a good way, of course. I'm a little speechless because you said it all. Despite all the hostility, there really is a group of people i can go to for encouragement, motivation, and LOVE.
seriously, christina, you are a treat to have in life.

Aww I know exactly what you mean! Since graduating college 2 years ago, my girlfriends have slowly moved away. It's been so fun to have some girl talk again when Ryan gets tired of hearing my ongoing debate on zebra rugs!

So happy you found my blog and left comments! It's wonderful to have "met" you!

HUG!!! I know I've been quiet lately on the comment front, but things have been a bit crazy. So happy about the new shop, and I'll put a mention up soon;) Don't stop with the lovely packaging; I can't tell you how much it means when I receive something packaged well, with oodles of TLC. It's almost as fab as whatever is inside!

Thanks for writing this! As a new blogger, I thought maybe I just was being treated as the new kid. Many other writers have been responsive and kind, but there are a few who are putting up passive fences . . or who don't extend the same courtesy I give them.

Christina, your blog is lovely and I am glad that you are acknowledging the good in the community! Congrats on the new shop.

Great bloggers!!

oh, hello friend. said...

this is a great post ... thanks for it!

i think there has been some drama in our beloved blog community lately with copying and stealing and everything! i myself have gotten caught up in it with someone stealing my blog design entirely.

but it's so great and refreshing and mostly ENCOURAGING to read your take on it and how you're just staying positive.

thank you! :)

Fellow blogger love is like none other. It's such a great community. I usually stay on the sidelines of things but this powerful blogville force has even sucked me in. You receive so much love out there bc you're not only good at what you do... but you're such a darling sweet heart.
Keep it up.

Oh, and this whole "plagiarism" drama aint all that important... the whole internet plagiarizes and so does the art world. I don't think people should be so precious with their worlds and copynpasted images. That's just my take on it. ;)

Christina, this is just the sweetest post! I don't know how I missed it earlier. Thank you so much for posting my shop banner and a link to my blog. I feel the same way, touched by the kindness of the numerous friends I have met through the blogging community. You are one of the best! I'm always telling my husband stories about what my "blog pals" are doing and how wonderful they are, how supportive they've been when I've had difficult times, and how sad I am for them when things aren't going so well in their lives. I so appreciate you and am thankful for you every day!
