I thought I could make it through the pollen season on Benadryl alone. Wrong. I thought the pressure in my head and ears would go away. Wrong. I thought that I could make it through the day at work. Wrong. I don't like being wrong, especially when that means I have to spend the afternoon at the Urgent Care center to treat allergies which, I fear, have turned into an infection. I know this is a style blog and not a medical care journal, but I have to ask, Does anyone know of a natural solution to treating sinus pressure and possible ear infections?
Well, now that I have the afternoon off, I plan on finding some fun things to post, but for now, I'm off to the doctor. I promise my next post will not be full of complaints! Happy hump day!

my allergies/sinus pressure/colds are always relieved by using the neti pot - it seems strange (and feels strange, too!) but it really works and is all natural!

you can buy at whole foods or other health food/supply stores for under $20
feel better!
yup! i would agree w/ erin! :)
I have heard the same things about neti pots but never used them myself. Hope you feel better soon!
I suffer from the same horrible allergies. This year has seemed to be the worst as far as allergies go. I have a neti pot, but have been too afraid to try it! They say it feels like when you get water up your nose while swimming, which is something I can't stand. But from everything I have heard it works wonders. Just need to work up the courage...
Hope you can find something that works for you.
i've used stuff similar to the neti pots with some sort of saline rinse, it's not a long-term solution but it helps. ive also found a couple nasal sprays help- so talking to your allergist could be beneficial.
my mother swears by sniffing (not snorting) horseradish. says it clears her right up.
feel better!
oh no! I hope you feel better, my dear.
you all are so sweet...i'm actually a huge fan of the neti pot and have used it repeatedly throughout the spring. the problem w/this go round is that when i tried to use it, the water wouldn't flow through b/c i was so congested. (and believe me, i sat w/that thing up my nose for a while, ick). now horseradish might be my next remedy! thanks for the tips.
